intimate motherhood beach session | corpus christi photographer
I had a wonderful afternoon breastfeeding session with Monica and her baby Brody out on the beach, and also captured some images for my body project series. She shared how she dealt with MS and what it meant for her as a mother, as well as for her nursing relationship. Read more about her strength and story below!
I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis May of 2014 and was so worried and sad about the symptoms I was experiencing and for what was to come. Three months later and I found out I was pregnant by surprise. Brody was and is my biggest blessing. My pregnancy dropped my symptoms and I'm still way more symptom free than I was back then. I don't know where my future will take me but I do know that no matter the outcome I know I can tackle it.
I'm passionate about raising my son to be a humble, kind, and respectful young man. I want him to know that life can throw you the toughest challenges but all you have to do is keep going because life is a blessing in disguise. It's hard but you'll be blessed with something greater and for me that is my son. He gives me the strength to be the best I can be every single day.
Motherhood to me is the biggest and greatest responsibility one can have. Motherhood is being pregnant and hoping you have what it takes to be a great mom. It's reading a lot of how-to books and taking classes to be the best you can be only to find out that you won't use all of what you learned but rather do what's best for you and your child. Motherhood is the most rewarding gift in life. It's realizing your nights of going out and sleeping in are gone and not wanting them anyway. It's cherishing every single moment you have with your baby because you know they won't be babies forever. I can't wait to speak with my son and let him know he can always talk to his mom about anything.
